10″ Windows 7 Netbooks
- Sony Vaio W Eco (pre-order) - 20% of its chassis comes from recylced CD/DVD cases, the carry case is made completely of recycled PET bottles, and it’s still sturdy and comes with the latest specs: Intel N450, GMA 3150, 1GB, 250GB HDD, 1366×768, 8 hours battery life, $480, read our review
- Samsung NB30 – the ultimate accident-resistant netbook. Comes with a rubberized chassis that prevents fingerprints, a spill resistant keyboard and fall safe HDD. Comes with Intel N450, but nothing else impressive (1GB RAM, 160GBHDD) $370, read our review
- Asus 1008P-KR (not the HA) – this 10″ beauty from Asus won’t have concrete details until after January, but word is it comes in faux brown/pink leather, with a 1.66Hz N450 processor, and a removable battery which separates it from the 1008HA series, $500 read more
- Gigabyte T1028X - Gigabyte’s twist-tablet-touchscreen netbook has a hefty price tag at above $600 – 1.66GHz N280, 1366×768, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 6 cell battery, $728 – read our review
- Samsung N210 – A sleek looking netbook, this is cheap but not too impressive despite the Intel N450 and GMA 3150. Also comes with 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, yawn.. $380, read our review
- Samsung N150 (pre-order) – love that it comes with a non-glare display. Also has the N450 and the standard 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD – $350, read our overview
- Lenovo S-10 3t – WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM – one of the very few netbooks with the 1.83GHz N470 processor, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD – $650, read more
- Lenovo S-10 3t – the less expensive, less impressive one with Intel N450, 1GB RAM, 250GBHDD – $500, read more
- Acer AO532h – a pretty good deal for your money – Intel N450, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, up to 10 hours battery life, $350 read our review – or you can get the Intel N450, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 8 hours for $300
- Asus 1005HA (blue, black) – the bestselling netbook with 10.5hour battery life, 1.66GHz N280 processor, 1 GB RAM, 250GB HDD – $345, read our review
- Asus 1008HA (black, white, pink) – sleeker than the 1005HA, but a leetle bit more expensive. Comes with the same specs 1.66GHz N280 processor, 1 GB RAM, 250GB HDD – $367-390
- Asus 1008HA – Windows 7 HOME PREMIUM (black, white)- Intel N280, 2 GB RAM, 320GB HDD, $510
- Toshiba NB205 (pink, brown, blue and white) – another crowd favorite, the NB205 has a large battery life (9+hours), a huge touch pad and arguably good looks. The keyboard is a mixed bag – larger than most but not so user friendly, $323-350, read our review
- *Samsung N140 - one of my favorites – the N140 comes with a large keyboard, non glossy screen, awesome Samsung software – read about the speed mode button especially – 11 hours of battery life, 1.66GHz N280 processor, 1 GB RAM, 250GB HDD $384, read our review
- Lenovo S10-2 (black, white, pink, green and purple) – not so impressive by function, but quite nice with the looks, check out the design, then buy one of the above (this is the cheapest thus far on the list though) $300-350, read our review
- HP Mini 110 (black, white, pink) - bad battery life (>4 hours), but great looking and HP-quality build, also has a nice keyboard 1.6GHz N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD $450 for black, read our review
- MSI Wind U123 (red and blue) – your basic low spec, good quality netbook with terrific battery life, 1.6GHz N270, 160GB HDD, $350, read our review
12″ Windows 7 Netbooks
- Asus Eee PC 1201T (German) - WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM – 12.1″ netbook with AMD Athlon Neo MV40, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 1366 x 768 resolution, $565 – read our review
- 12.1″ Asus 1201N (silver and black) – WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM – 12.1″ netbook, the graphics machine with 1.6GHz Intel Atom 330 dual core CPU, nVidia ION graphics, up to 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 1366 x 768 resolution, $485-495 read our reviews
- 11.6″ Acer Ferrari One – WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM - this netbook really could be a full-fledged computer with the 1.2GHz AMD dual core processor and ATI Radeon graphics. It’s on the hefty side at 3.31lbs, comes with 4GB RAM and 250GB HDD for $600, read more
- Samsung N510 – WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM – one of the only two netbooks currently available with nVidia ION. The N510 gets brownie points for high performance and large size. Kinda pricey though, $600, read our review
- HP Mini 311 – WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM – the other netbook selling with nVidia ION, the HP Mini 311 is a good buy if you want better graphics, the ability to customize your netbook and the HP look and feel. Cheaper than the N510 at $500 and comes subsidized from Verizon for $200, read our review
