Windows 7 On The ASUS Eee PC T91 Tablet
October 22nd is the D-day… or the launch day for Windows 7 but there are beta and release candidate versions of the OS from Microsoft for months, and people are curious and/or cautious when it comes to loading their laptops and netbooks with the software.
Fortunately, for those who haven’t had the opportunity to use the new OS (or for those who regard anything after Windows XP with suspicion) jkkmobile has shared an extensive (think almost 30 minutes) video of a Windows 7-loaded Asus Eee PC T91. At first glance, it seems to be a much better operating system for this netbook than XP.
Noted on the video:
- Hardware works a-OK including Bluetooth.
- Good simulated right-click feature.
- Internet Explorer has grab and drag feature.
- There’s an onscreen keyboard but I’m not sold on it not being multitouch so I doubt I’d be happy with it.
- Videos play just fine &20P and 1080P, and YouTube (SD)
I do hope that Asus will come up with a multitouch model. Windows 7 has a lot of touchscreen features just begging to be used on a netbook. Read our review of the Asus Eee PC T91 here.
