There are some programs that run only on Windows and don’t have mac versions yet. An example is a software that helps business keep track of payroll (the name escapes me at the moment). One of the places I’ve worked at is completely mac-based, and my co-worker needed to install Windows via Parallels to access certain programs. Windows 7 would be a much better platform for her to use instead of Vista.

I think this statement is as invalid as it goes. Whilst many entertain themselves running 2 OSes on their Macs, there’s really to point to do so for many. Windows is not as superior these days as it was years ago. You can easily find alternatives.
