Windows 7 : Fantastic Sales Record

Microsoft Windows 7 UltimateWindows 7 is definitely leaving the other versions to eat it’s dust. Telegraph.co.uk is saying that the new OS is “smashing sales records”, beating Windows Vista by 234 percent. That’s a huge, huge deal considering that January, when Vista was released, is traditionally a better time than October for launching new products.

Steve Ballmer, CEO for Microsoft said that response to the new software has been fantastic so far. The pre-sales, high visibility, and aggressive marketing strategies, as well as the innovations in the actual software definitely helped boost Windows 7 sales.

It might even be THE product of the year. It has surpassed pre-orders for the highly anticipated (in 2007) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and that is definitely no easy feat. Looks like Microsoft hit the jackpot with this one! And we can all push Windows Vista into oblivion.
