Watch Out for the Asus Eee PC 1101HA at Computex
Another thing to look forward to at Computex is the 11.6″ Eee PC 1101HA featuring a 1366 x 768 pixel, 11.6-inch display, an Intel Atom Z520/Z530 processor and an 11-hour battery life.
While Asus tried very hard not to stamp any netbook larger than 10.2 inches with the Eee PC name, Acer, MSI, Dell and Samsung have all released 11″ or larger screened netbooks. Maybe Asus wants to catch up? And, is anything with bigger than a 10-inch screen still a netbook?
The 1101HA takes after the Seashell design of the Eee PC 1008HA (which now ships from Amazon for $429.99), which means that it has an elegant, sturdy chassis. And while it’s hard to tell from the fliers that are currently out, it could also mean that it’s as thin and light as the 1008HA. If it’s true what they say about the 11-hour battery life, I’m – nearly – sold.
