VIDEO: HP Mini 5102 Unboxing
What makes the HP Mini 5102 different (and deserving of its higher base price) are these features that you won’t find on a regular netbook: an all metal chassis, a high speed SSD, an accelerometer and an HP Drive Guard, a spill-resistant keyboard with HP DuraKey finish, a 2MP webcam, a facial recognition software, a quickstart software, and an app for syncing with a your primary PC. Did I say that THAT is the base model? Other options include touchscreen display, HD display, Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator, and a 3G modem.
So if you want a super-netbook, I guess this is the best option for you. Of course, it would cost you not just a little extra, but a LOT extra. You can check out our review of the HP Mini 5102 here or check out the HP Product Page here.
