Verizon Subsidizes Gateway Netbook with 3G Service

Want a dressed up Acer Aspire One D250 (i.e. a Gateway LT2016U)? Then you can get one from Verizon. The telecom is going to be offering up the netbook with an integrated 3G modem and a subsidy.
Engadget says that the netbook with cost $500 without a subsidy, $320 with a 1-year service contract, and $250 with a 2-year plan. You can also get it for $149.99 with the 2-year plan after a $100 mail-in rebate.
Let’s put it this way, if you have your heart set on a netbook, you’re going to save a whole lot (like more than a thousand dollars lot) if you get yourself the Gateway LT2016U or the Acer Aspire One D250 without the $60+ a month, unless you’re planning on getting the 3G plan in the first place.
The Gateway LT2016U has the average netbook specs: 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM and 160GB hard drives.
