Toshiba Libretto W100 Available for Pre-Order from Amazon, $1100

Toshiba Libretto W100

The Toshiba Libretto W100 has gone up for sale in Japan recently, and if you want one and can’t wait for your very own unit, Conics can actually ship you one with an OS that has been converted to English. Yes, good right? That is, if you can cough up $1400.

But if you can wait, you can just go check out Amazon because the device just went up for pre-order, and for a lower price too, $1,100. Okay so it’s $1,099.99, but I don’t get why the $99.99.

Here are the specs as per Amazon:

  • 1.2 GHz Intel Pentium U5400 Processor
  • 2 GB DDR3 RAM
  • 62 GB Serial ATA Hard Drive
  • Dual 7-Inch Touch Screens, Intel HD Graphics
  • Windows 7 Home Premium
  • 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

The dual-screen laptop is more of a concept computer than a real consumer device, but of course, if it sells, we can expect Toshiba to increase production.

Both screens have 1024 x 600 pixel displays and the bottom screen can be used as a virtual keyboard. It also supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.1.
