Acer Review, Asus Review – Netbook 10

In our last Top 10 Netbooks list, we dared to proclaim the NC10 the best netbook available. We’re not going to tell you why here – we’re cooking up a comprehensive review on this baby, so watch out for that.

Instead, we found it necessary to share with you our Top Samsung Netbooks list which includes the other models in the topnotch Samsung line-up (all 2 of them ;) ).

Here are the 3 Top Samsung Netbooks that are holding their own amongst the multitude of Asuses, Acers, MSIs, and HPs -

Top Samsung Netbooks 

1. NC10

The NC10, despite its 6 cell battery, comes in a cool little package - 2.8 pound, and 10.3 x 7.3 x 1.2 inches. The size and weight allows you to travel light but powerfully.

The screen is a clear 10.2-inches with a WSVGA resolution (1024 x 600), an antiglare finish that allows for awesome view in any lighting condition. And typing is definitely comfortable with the 93-percent full-size keyboard.

Recently Samsung cut the price of the NC10 by $50 – making it a no-brainer.

In fact, the NC10 is so impressive it’s our joint #1 value for money netbook (alongside the Acer AOD150), and also one of the best overall netbooks.

2. N120

If you liked the NC10′s fairly large keyboard, you’ll love the full-size keyboard on the N120. Add to that -

1. The same 10.1-inch screen.
2. A 6-cell battery that is touted to clock a whopping 10.5 hours of uninterrupted use.
3. A 1.3 megapixel camera, 3-in-1 card reader, three USB plugs, and optional Bluetooth.
4. There are also a pair of speakers (don’t you just love a dedicated sub-woofer? – this one has it!).

It’s no wonder the N120′s working its way up the netbook charts.

And it looks pretty good too -

3. N110

The N110 retails at $475 and is available for pre-order at Amazon (its releasing soon – probably early to mid May).

Despite having basically the same internals as the NC10, the N110 already has a slightly wider touchpad and a higher capacity 6-cell battery which would get you up to 9.5 hours of battery life.

One possible negative: The Glossy finish. We’re not sure if buyers are going to prefer its new glossy looks over the NC10′s matte looks.

Final Thoughts on Samsung Netbooks

Even after the launch of its successor, the N110, earlier this month, the NC10 continues to be the netbook standard bearer of the world’s largest conglomerate. Samsung’s 3 models are all extremely impressive netbooks, and continuing with this approach will ensure Samsung climbs its way up the Netbook Charts.
