Tablets at war – JooJoo vs. the iPad

Availability of the JooJoo has been pushed back to March 25th. It’s edge over the Apple iPad is seemingly decreasing with the iPad expected some time in March end/April/May. Both devices are similar in that they’re both multitouch tablets. The iPad of course resembles a giant iPhone, whereas the JooJoo is a little more mysterious and just as sexy in appeal.

A detailed comparison of the specs of both tablets is below the picture.

Bottomline

There’s quite a few differences between the two devices to make your decision a little easier. Both start at $500. The size ofcourse is a big difference with the iPad at near 10″ and the JooJoo at 12″. The JooJoo supports USBs – the iPad has access to the app store. The JooJoo has a camera – this is one of the critical pieces the iPad is missing. The JooJoo supports upto 1080p HD video and has a much higher resolution than the iPad. The iPad has 3G, digital compass and sexy accessories. See, told you it wasn’t an easy choice!

Personally, I would opt for the JooJoo because it supports Flash. I couldn’t imagine a world without Flash. Also, the camera is a very necessary inclusion in the JooJoo and makes sense considering the form factor of the device and the kind of stand it has. It acts like a TV and a webcam – what more could you want!
