Sony Vaio X Comes with a Base Price of $1300

Sony Vaio X Price

Here’s a rundown on updates on the 11.1″ Sony Vaio X netbook:

We know now more about the Sony Vaio X. It…

* has a 3-hour regular battery and a 14-hour extended battery (US buyers can get the extended battery in the package but those in Japan will have to buy it separately.)
* will weight 1.5 pounds
* has 2GB RAM, and 128GB SSD
* has multi-touch trackpad
* has a 2.0GHz Atom Z550
* will come with Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional
* comes in three color variations: Premium Carbon, Gold and Black
* has additional options include: Built-in WiMAX and 3G
* comes at a base price of $1299.99

Nope. No need to rub your eyes. It really IS $1299.99. We’re basically looking at a really expensive netbook right now. Is a 2.0GHz Intel Processor worth a thousand bucks? Or is it just the Vaio name that we’d be paying for?
