Sony Vaio W Holiday Sparkle, $500
Maybe Sony is getting into the Christmas spirit. They’ve introduced the Vaio Signature Collection W Series Holiday Sparkle mini notebook *that’s a mouthful*
Sony Style says that it’s “ideal for every member of the family”, although I pretty much can’t see my dad working on something so sparkly. The specs aren’t as sparkly as the exterior, although a little better than your average netbook: 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD and Windows 7 Starter. It has a 6-cell, 7 hour battery, high res 1366 x 768 10.1” display, 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth.
As usual, it’s priced the way you’d expect a Sony netbook to be priced, way, way up there at $500. While it’s definitely pretty and in fashion during winter, I think I’d pay the $500 for one if the design of the lid would change with the seasons. That would definitely be worth it.
