Sony Introduces the Vaio X Ultraportable Series

Sony can be said to be an expert when it comes to portable computers as they’ve been releasing a string of netbooks including the Sony Vaio P and the Sony Vaio W, both great examples of craftsmanship, but both extremely expensive.
Their next foray into the mini-laptop market is the Sony Vaio X with an 11.1″ display and an incredibly thin and light carbon fiber frame. For now it sports an Atom processor but could easily be upgraded to a CULV processor, with 2GB RAM, and 1366 x 768 screen resolution. Apparently, Sony is offering a choice between a matte or glossy display. It will weight around 1.5 pounds, and will be oh, about half an inch thick.
With specs like that, it doesn’t exactly stand out and wave in the crowd of netbooks, except probably because it would be expensive. But then the Nokia Booklet 3G is expected to cost $800. The Sony Vaio W is currently selling for $499.99 at Sonystyle.com.

Though expensive and thin, it has all basic features. Design-wise, its good and its a nice performer. But I am excited about Nokia Booklet 3G.
