Samsung NC10 Netbook Review – Samsung 10″ Netbook

The Samsung NC10 14GBK 10 inch Netbook is a full function netbook in a little 2.8 pound, 10.3 x 7.3 x 1.2 inch package. The size and weight allows you to travel light but powerfully.

It comes with an integrated webcam, Bluetooth capability, a multi-format memory card slot, headphones and microphone, and is very convenient for people who love sharing information online and off. Because of the size, it doesn’t come with an integrated optical drive, but since it has three USB ports, you can easily connect CD/DVD read/write drives and digital cameras, and MP3 players to your Samsung NC10 just as you would on a regular laptop.

Specs seem to be converging to a standard on all netbooks now (with a few exceptions like gaming-oriented netbooks). The Samsung NC10-14GBK’s processor, like those on most netbooks, is a 1.6Hz Intel Atom N270 for better power management, and comes with 160GB HDD with 1GB RAM. The last of which is easily expanded to 2GB. Enough room in there for loads of pictures, music and even movies.

The screen is a clear 10.2-inches with a WSVGA resolution (1024 x 600), an antiglare finish that allows for awesome view in any lighting condition. And typing is definitely comfortable with the 93-percent full-size keyboard. The NC10-14GBK is also pre-installed with Windows XP Home.

Battery life is 6 to 8 hours. For those going on long trips and want to work in transit, this little guy seems to be able to hit the target even when you multitask.

Suffice to say that the Samsung NC-10 gets a solid A/A+ rating, is one of the top 3 netbooks currently available, and with its lower price might even be #1.

For $398.80, it may just be one of the best and most reasonably priced netbooks in the market right now. And the sleek, professional black color just makes it more handsome. It absolutely looks like it means business.
