Samsung N150 Will Have a Kid-friendly Version

Samsung N150 10.1-Inch Bermuda Blue Netbook

Sure netbooks are the perfect laptop for kids, with their small size and light weight, but manufacturers such as Asus and Dell have taken it a step further by aoming up with kid-specific netbooks such as the Dell Mini Nickelodeon Edition and Asus Disney Netpal and the newest, Asus Eee PC 1001PQ. Samsung wants a piece of the kid-friendly netbooks pie, looks like, because they released a press release (it’s in German) at CeBIT that they have a kid-friendly version of the Samsung N150. It’s going to be the same hardware as the adult N150, but will come with kid-friendly software.

IMO, any and all netbooks can be used by, or be for, kids. You can use any netbook, slap it with software optimized for children and maybe good parental controls, then it’s going to be “perfect” for kids.

We’ve also reviewed the Pinetrail “adult” version of the N150 if you’re interested. Click here.
