Samsung N150 Available from Verizon for $50 (+ 2-year plan)

Samsung N150 10.1-Inch Black Matte Netbook

You can now sign up for a 2-year plan with Verizon and get a Samsung N150 for $49.99 after rebates from a Verizon store. You can also get one for $29.99 if you sign up from the Verizon Wireless web site.

This is the first Samsung netbook available from the wireless carrier, as well as the cheapest netbook that you can get from Verizon. Aside from this, you can get other 3G netbooks from HP and Gateway.

Technical Specs of the N150 that’s currently available from Verizon are:

  • 10.1″ 1024 x 600 pixel display
  • 160Gb hard drive
  • 1GB RAM
  • 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor
  • 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1
  • 6 cell battery
  • Windows 7 Starter Edition

Without the 2-year contract, you can get a Samsung N150 from Amazon in Black Matte for $329.99. One with a glossy lid is $290.23.

Remember, if you don’t really need or want a data plan, you’d be better off shelling $300 for a netbook rather than the thousand plus dollars for one with a 2-year contract.
