Samsung N110 Review: Cramped Keyboard, Awesome Battery Life
The Samsung N110 is one of the top Samsung netbooks out in the market even though it has been available for almost half a year. Still it’s #15 on Amazon’s Bestsellers in Computer and Accessories, and #11 in the Netbooks category. It’s a nice-looking netbook which claims of up to 9.5 hours of battery life.

Features and Drawbacks
- Awesome Battery Life – Aside from the fact that Samsung designed the battery in a way that it’s almost flush against the netbook itself which makes it all the more attractive, the battery can actually deliver on 9.5 hours, this with screen brightness reduced to 70% but with wireless connection all the way. Just… wow.
- Attractive design and sleek cover – It looks pretty slick with it’s glossy, black lid and red accent trum with a matte finish on the interior. It looks really classy and simple, and unlike the uber-cool Samsung Go, the brand name on the front cover is a small-ish, white painted logo. On the downside, while the glossy finish is really chic, the OCD in you might be bothered by the multitude of fingerprints that would make a CSI’s work really easy. In addition, the chassis is strong and durable, with a firm screen cover, strong hinges, and scratch-resistant.x
- Keyboard is so-so – While the keyboard is comfortable to type on, there are definitely other better keyboards (such as that on the Asus Eee PC 1005HA) which feels better and less cramped. The keys though are responsive and only gives, a discreet, lightly audible click when pressed. The average-sized Synaptics touchpad is easy to use, and has great response.

- Up-to-par Performance – While it uses an older, slightly slower 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270, there was no noticeable difference between the Samsung N110′s performance relative to an N280-totting netbook. Boot and shutdown is quick. Net surfing, document editing, music and e-mail was handled pretty much okay, and 720p videos played well. As expected though, the Intel Atom N270 couldn’t really handle the 1080p vids that well, dropping frames every left, right and center.
