Robedo introduces Three – its netbook operated Robot!

Consider yourself to be a tech-snob? You always need to know about the latest gadgets, always need to own the newest iPhone? Well, what do you think about a netbook operated robot?

Robedo has just introduced it’s newest netbook-operated robot, Three. Unlike your typical robot, Three doesn’t come with arms and legs but with two huge wheels, a multidirectional rear wheel and a chasis for your netbook to sit on and act as the robot’s brain.

Three was built for speed – huge powerful wheels, ‘quick development and learning,’ USB plug in sensors to aid with navigation… Remember days before the invention of the TV remote when you had to get up to change the channel? 5 years from now, we’ll be reminiscing about the days we had to get up to go get our netbook!

The biggest benefit I can foresee is attaching a webcam to it and using it to make awesome videos with great camera angles. Or using Skype while multitasking aroud the house with the Three following you around like a faithful puppy. Speaking of which, check out this XKCD comic of the Eee PC-hamster.

Three is also a green robot which was made in a non-toxic manner and with minimal materials. It runs on rechargeable batteries and comes with a USB controller, computer strap, battery older, power switch and 6.7″ by 2.7″ tires. Surprising it weighs less that your average netbook at only 4lbs. It’s selling at $439 but if you order before July 1st, you can get it for $399.
