The new Sony Vaio (which is just an updated Sony Vaio P) has been announced in the US, Europe and Japan. It looks really good, actually and comes in bright, bright colors.

The Sony Vaio M has made it to US shores via TigerDirect, and lo and behold, it’s selling for $379.99. You never really see anything with the Vaio name that was worth less than $400. It was actually the expected price for this baby when it was first released in Europe.

UPDATE: The Sony Vaio M has gone official in Sony Europe, and will be available in black or white by the end of March. It’s also up on Amazon Germany, selling for € 349.00.

The Sony Vaio M have not been formally introduced but there have been reported sightings of the new Sony Vaio M, Sony’s new 10″ netbook series. It looks like the Sony Vaio W with a standard-type keyboard.

Kudos to Sony with their latest addition to the Vaio W line of netbooks. They upgraded the Vaio W to the power-efficient Intel N450 process0r as most netbook manufacturers did.
