Another convertible-slash-hybrid tablet comes from Sony with their new concept design for an ultrabook with a slide-out keyboard that allows you, as with all convertible devices, to use it as a tablet and/or notebook computer.

As this is only a concept design, it might not be released like the Samsung sliding tablet, but if you want something of a similar design, you can get yourself an Asus Eee Slider which is available from Amazon for 593.00 (32GB).

If it does make it to the market, expect a premium price tag as it looks like it will carry the Sony Vaio name.

The Sony Tablet S WiFi has been available for quite a while but the 3G version has just come out. In the UK. The 3G-enabled Tablet S comes with 16GB of storage and costs £100 more than its WiFi only counterpart. The 3G capability is the only difference, as well as a slight weight difference with the 3G tablet outweighing its WiFi sibling by 27 grams.

Have you seen the the Sony S1 and S2 commercials? Well, more details about the two tablets have emerged.

The S1 tablet will have both WiFi only and 3G/WiFi models as well as 16GB and 32GB versions. The S2 tablet will also have 16GB and 32GB versions but will only come in a WiFi and 3G capable model but no WiFi-only variant.

The S1 will also feature IPS display with TruBlack and Bravia display technologies. And it will also have a full-size SD memory card slot for those who need or want additional storage. According to CNET’s source, battery life will also be “comparable to the iPad 2″. Accessory-wise, there’s a dock and a Bluetooth keyboard planned for the S1. If you remember, Sony also mentioned that you can use the S1 with your PS2 as well as a remote control for your TVs and other devices.

The tablets release might be right before IFA 2011 in Berlin which will happen on September 2 to 7. We’ll also finally find out the real names of the tablets.

The AMD Fusion-based Sony Vaio YB was priced at $600 plus ($550 from Amazon) when it made its debut earlier this year. You don’t really expect a Sony Vaio to be priced less than that. But recently, the lower spec model of the Vaio YB is available for $499.99 from DataVision via Amazon.

The laptop runs for $599.99 at Sony Style. That machine comes with 4GB of RAM and 500GB hard drive. If you want a lower end, cheaper version, head on over to Amazon.com where the machine is available for pre-order for $549.99.
