The Sony Vaio M have not been formally introduced but there have been reported sightings of the new Sony Vaio M, Sony’s new 10″ netbook series. It looks like the Sony Vaio W with a standard-type keyboard.

Kudos to Sony with their latest addition to the Vaio W line of netbooks. They upgraded the Vaio W to the power-efficient Intel N450 process0r as most netbook manufacturers did. I guess the “Save Mother Earth” idea that prompted Sony to come up with a netbook that is made up of recycled materials is a great idea, but would you go for a $500 netbook with the same specs as any other netbook that will cost you $200 less?

Amazon also slashes price on the Sony Vaio netbooks. They’ve slashed $24.59 from the brown Sony Vaio W, bringing the price down to $475.40 with free standard shipping. Original list price is $499.99.
