The Samsung Series 5 Ultrabooks are already up at Amazon. The Samsung Series 5 13.3-Inch Ultrabook (Item model number: NP530U3B-A01US) is currently in stock and is priced at $929.99.

It comes with the following specs:

• 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5-2467M Low-Voltage Dual-Core Processor
• 4 GB DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM
• 500 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive (8 GB ExpressCache)
• 13.3-Inch LED-backlit Display

The 14-inch Samsung Series 5 NP530U4B-A01US is still in pre-order mode and will be selling at $949.99.

It has virtually the same specs: 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5-2467M Processor; 4 GB DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM; 500 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive (8 GB ExpressCache); Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit; 6.5 Hours of Battery Life. But as per it’s Amazon tech details it does have a 8x Multi-Format CD/DVD Drive. And it also has the bigger 14-Inch LED-backlit Display and Intel HD 3000 Graphics.

Both ultrabooks will also have Intel WiDi wireless display technology, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 3.0, and HDMI output.

Samsung has made updates to their Series 5 Chromebook, particularly on the processor. It has moved from an Intel Atom processor to an Intel Celeron. No word as to the specific Celeron processor though. Samsung is saying that it will have a significant impact on performance although not so much at the battery life.

It will also sport a matte finish instead of the old, glossy lid. What stays is the 12.1-inch widescreen display and the 16GB of storage. What you don’t need locally can be stores in the cloud. That is, in fact, what the Chromebook was designed for, to function primarily in the Cloud, all you need is your Chromebook and a reliable Internet connection.

The second-generation Chromebooks are slated for release Q2 this year and will sell for $399 for the WiFi version and $449 for 3G.

First generation Samsung Series 5 models are also still available for $349.99 for the WiFi version and $449.99 for the 3G model.

You can now pre-order the Samsung Series 5, Samsung’s first ultrabooks, starting at $900. It comes in two versions. There’s the 13.3″ model which sells for $899.99 and the one with a larger 14″ display that sells for $949.99.

Both models share the following technical specs:

• 1366 x 768 pixel display
• Intel Core i5-2467M processor
• 4GB of DDR3 memory
• 500GB hard drives (with 16GB of solid state storage cache)

The machines will also have Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11n, HDMI output and stereo speakers. The 14″ variant will also come with a DVD burner. More models that may offer AMD graphics and/or 128GB solid state disks may also be in the notebooks’ futures, although both options aren’t available in the US models yet.

While Samsung might not be the first to release an Ultrabook… or at least an ultrabook that’s actually called an ultrabook, it’s no stranger to the high-end laptops. The company has released the Samsung Series 9, and are adding a couple of new versions to their Series 5 lineup.

The have a 13- and 14-inch models. The smaller one does not have an optical drive and is only 14.9mm, while the 14-inch version is 20.9mm thick. Both have aluminum chassis and comes with matte screens, with Ethernet and HDMI ports and SSD storage.

The Series 5 Ultra (as what the new line is called), will launch in Korea in late December. Prices are at 1.49 million won ($1,300) for the 13-inch model and 1.54 million ($1,345) for the 14-inch. The 13-inch model will not have an optical drive.

Hey look! Samsung has already dropped prices on their Series 5 Chromebooks. A quick check on Amazon.com shows that both the 3G and the WiFi models have dropped as much as $50.

The Samsung Series 5 3G Chromebook gets a $50 price cut, bringing the price down to $449.99 from it’s original $499.99. The Series 5 Wi-Fi Chromebook gets a $30 cut from its original $429.99 down to $399.99.

We’re still actually waiting for Chromebooks to take off. Maybe because people are wary of new concepts? Or because Chromebooks sounds rather limited with only a web browser to run it. Maybe a lower price tag will help? Acer’s Chromebooks are cheaper though. The Acer AC700-1529 Chromebook (3G) is cheaper at $429.99. The Acer AC700-1099 Chromebook (Wi-Fi) is currently at $349.00.

Samsung is going to be coming up with the Samsung N102, a 10-inch netbook with a low power processor as well as a low price tag. On the outside, it looks exactly like the Samsung N100 which is cheaper as it runs MeeGo Linux. The Samsung N102 will run Windows 7 Starter edition.

Specs are pretty standard. It comes with a 1.33GHz Intel Atom N435 processor, 1GB of DDR3 memory, 250GB harddrive, Intel GMA graphics and 10.1 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display with a 3 cell, 40Whr battery.

The netbook might or might not be released in the US but it has appeared in Russian retail sites.

The Samsung NC215, the solar powered netbook, has been delayed for a few months from it’s original May release date to this month. It’s finally up and shipping from a few online retailers including Amazon where it’s available for $409.36. The original Amazon product page put up some time ago shows that it was $399.00, but this one is being sold by an outside retailer via Amazon as of now.

The solar panel is on the lid and blends well into the design which looks pretty much like older Samsung netbooks.

The NC215 can run for an hour for every two hours of charging time under the sun.

The 12.1″ Samsung NP350U2B-A01 which is a Samsung Series 3 model is up for pre-order from Amazon.com for $753.24.

It comes with the following specs:

The official product page is also up where you can get the notebook for $749.00. It comes with nifty features such as “Fast Start” which allows your netbook to enter a “Hybrid Street” which allows you to resume in 3 seconds but doesn’t draw power.

The Samsung NC110 is the non-solar powered version of the solar-powered Samsung NC215 (which is already up for pre-order from Amazon for $399.00). So if you want the NC215 but feel iffy about the solar panels on the lid, the you can check the NC110 out. It’s already up and available, also from Amazon, for – hey! – $263.99, which is $65.01 less than it’s original $329.00 price tag.

For that price, you get a device with:
