I’m on the lookout for some interesting earbuds or headphones. My iPod’s earbuds had long given up on me and while I wanted to get myself a new pair, I wanted to look at other options.

The Panasonic SLIMZ In-Ear earbud headphones look interesting enough, as well as having gotten good reviews on Amazon. And while I tend to use Sony more, Panasonic is a good brand too.

Technical details from Amazon:

SLIMZ, Compact in-the-ear buds

Clear Sound Cord slider

Custom Comfort 2-Step Cushion

3 pairs of soft earpads included (S/M/L)

Ergo-Fit Design for ulitmate comfort and fit

These earbuds are said to be comfortable to wear which is one of my considerations when getting a new pair of earbuds. It comes with three sizes of rubber plugs so you can find your exact size and not worry about having them fall off. Personally, the iPod’s earbuds are a perfect fit for my ears.

Also, I always have second thoughts about getting earbuds because they tend to sound tinny. Reviews of this product are generally positive about how good it sounds.

Available in silver ($20.38), pink ($23.12), red ($20.33), black ($18.76), and blue ($20.28).

One of my life’s motto is that there’s no such thing as too much memory.
Looking at the list of compatible devices, I’m surprised that it lists a lot of machines: Motorola, HTC, Samsung including the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, most Blackberry phones, Nokia N and E series, Amazon Kindle and the Nook as well as iPods and iPhones. Pretty impressive, huh? However, take note that solar power can only provide about 40-50% charge to your phone/MP3 player/tablet.

It’s a pretty nifty device for $21.99 from its original price of $49.99.

With the bean-bag like cushion at the bottom, it’s pretty comfortable to place on your lap while the actual cradle can be adjusted to the viewing angle you want or need. You can even us it in portrait or landscape mode, no problem. There’s also a zippered pocked for your earbuds and adapters, and has a stylus loop to one side if you use one. While it’s designed for 10″ tablets, you can adjust it to hold a smaller one.

It’s very simple, sure, not Apple-sleek if you know what I mean, but decent-looking and very functional. It’s a great accessory for any tablet. Good Christmas gift too.

It’s actually really cute. I mean, how many iPod Docking stations come in the shape of a pig?

The Limited Edition Speakal iPig 2.1 Stereo iPod Docking Station with 5 Speakers supports most iPods and iPhone models and can charge the iPod mini, Nano, Classic, Touch and the iPhones. You can control the volume by touching the pig’s ears (left one to lower the volume, the right one to raise the volume). For somethig that looks like a toy, it produces really good sound quality.

So maybe it’s not a good gift for the macho, he-man office boss but it’s perfect for those who likes cutesy, kitchy stuff. And what’s better, you save $55.04 because Amazon has slashed 42% off the $129.99 list price and is currently available for $74.95.

It comes in pink, white and yellow. Now, if the pig doesn’t appeal to you, it also comes in the shape of a panda ($129.99 $74.95).

I remember reading that you shouldn’t give your wife a gift that needed to be plugged into a power source. A food processor, a blender, washing machine? While I don’t think I’d appreciate a kitchen appliance, I actually like gadgets. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t mind receiving this Visioneer Mobility Mobile Color Cordless Scanner which is avalable from Amazon for <strike>$199.99</strike> $148.45.

I signed up for this postcard swapping website and I love posting my postcards online (on my Facebook and my personal blog), and I tried taking pictures of them but I’m just satisfied with the pics, so I did get myself this huge Canon scanner, the Canon CanoScan LiDE110 Color Image Scanner ($51.99), but while it’s lighter than my laptop, it’s a little too big. The cordless scanner is just really sweet. You don’t need a computer to scan as it can scan directly to a smartphone, SD card or USB Flash Drive as it includes a 1GB SD card. Puts a capital M in “mobility”. You can also save your files as PDF or JPG and can be read by any computer. It also comes with rechargeable batteries.

So yep, I wouldn’t mind getting one for Christmas, and I bet your geeky loved one wouldn’t either.
