MSI hasn’t been aggressive when it comes to releasing new netbooks these last few years as they were when they started but they’re keeping up with the other companies. They’re releasing the new MSI Wind U180 which is already up for pre-order in Germany and it comes with a 1.86GHz Intel Atom N2800 Cedar Trail processor and GMA 3650 graphics.

The rest of the specs include:

• 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display
• 1GB of RAM
• 320GB hard drive
• 0.3MP webcam
• Windows 7 Starter Operating system

Aside from the new processor, the specs look exactly like the specs of their older netbooks. I checked the Amazon page of the MSI Wind U100, it practically has the same specs except for the new processor and the hard drive space.

Hopefully, we’ll see a few more new machines from MSI at CES.

MSI has started taking pre-orders for their MSI WindPad 110w tablet. A few online retailers including Amazon.com already have product pages for the device.

For $599.99, you get a tablet with the following specs:

• 10″ 1280×800 with IPS level wide view multi-touch screen
• Easily to turn on/off or adjust frequently used functions
• Freely lock/unlock the rotation function
• 10.1 Inch 1280×800 with IPS level wide view multi-touch screen
• Easy to turn on/off or adjust frequently used functions
• 32 GB Hard Drive
• Windows 7 Professional

It comes with an AMD Z-01 processor and Radeon HD 6250 graphics, one of the few netbooks that come with the new chip. It should offer the same battery life as a netbook powered by an Intel Atom chip but with better graphics.

While there isn’t any actual release date on the Amazon product page, word on the street is that it will start shipping on August 1st.

In a whirlwind of unveiling, launching and introducing, another tablet that made its appearance is the MSI WindPad Enjoy Android tablet line. That is such a cute name.

It looks like a cheaper alternative to the MSI WindPad 100A which has a 10.1″, 1280 x 800 pixel OPS display and 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dualcore processor, 1GB of RAM and 32GB storage.

The MSI WindPad Enjoy 10, on the other hand, has a 10 inch, 1024 x 768 pixel display, 1.2 GHz ARM Coretex-A8 processor, and Google Android 2.3, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage.

The WindPad Enjoy 7 is pretty much the same. Same processor, memory, storage. Pretty much same specs except for the smaller 7-inch 800 x 480 pixel display.

MSI has a new netbook ready to be launched, the MSI U160DX which the company will be releasing in Japan for ¥33,600. Checking the specs, I was a bit surprised that their “new” netbook has an Intel Atom N455, which isn’t exactly top of the line. Check out the specs below.

In line with the designer, special edition netbooks, MSI has released their Wind U135DX LA Dodgers Limited Edition netbook which comes with an LA Dodgers logo and color scheme. If you’re a Dodgers fan, then you might want to absolutely get your hands on this, but if you’re getting yourself a netbook, this, I’m sad to say, is not the best or the newest netbook in the market so aside from the logo, there’s nothing to be excited about.

Want to be one of the first few people to get your hands on the MSI WindPad 100W tablet that has been officially launched in the US yet? Do you have $700? Then you can head on to Simply Electronics where the tablet is available from for, yes, $700… $709.95 to be exact.

Tech specs include:

• 2GB of DDR2 memory

Comes with two cameras, a G-sensor, ambient light sensor, and an HDMI output, SD card reader and USB 2.0 port. It’s not exactly a exceptional tablet, probably not even worth the $700 price tag, but it should be a reasonable tablet.

MSI has pretty much been low-key during the year without any major announcements or netbook releases except for revisions and updates to their already released products. But MSI has something brewing for 2011 with the launch of the MSI U270 laptop, their 11.6″ laptop with the new AMD Zacate chipset which combines a low power CPU and integrated graphics that can handle HD video and 3D gaming.

• 1.6- GHz Zacate Processor from AMD
• 320 to 500GB HDD
• up to 4GB of RAM
• 1 USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports

No word on when it will be released or how much as of yet. Netbook News was able to spend some hands-on time with a unit and they have this demo video to show. Enjoy.

MSI is going to reintroduce their new tablet at CES 2011. We’ve already seen them at Computex early this year but updated versions will be released early next year, as per Andy Tung, Director of North American Sales. No specific dates yet though.

The Windows will have a 10″ 1024 x 600 multi-touch display, an Intel Oak Trail processor and Windows 7 Home Premium. It will also have mini HDMI, mini USB and an SD card slot as well as an accelerometer. The new processor will increase performance and adds to battery life, but as Mr. Tung says, “not extremely significant” which, of course, just makes us curious as to how significant.

The Android tablet will also have a 10″ display with 1280 x 800 resolution. It is said to be slimmer than the Windows tablet with a drop-proof design. It will run the latest Google Android at the time of release so probably Gingerbread 2.3 or Android 3.0 if it’s already available.

Both tablets will also have g-sensors, ALS light sensors and WiFi.

Netbook News is reporting that MSI will soon release a new version of their 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor-ran MSI Wind U160, but this time, it will come with an Intel Atom N550 dual core processor, like every new netbook that’s coming out these days. I guess MSI was feeling a little left out.

The netbook doesn’t look any different than the old one with its island keyboard, and 6-cell battery that sticks out at the back. It still has the 10″ screen and the bumpy touchpad. Taking a close look at it, looks like the only thing that will actually change is the machine.

The MSI Wind U160 is still available from Amazon for $379.99. That one has the following specs:
