HP upgraded their business netbooks with the new Intel Atom N2600 Cedar Trail processors, and are gearing up to release updated consumer netbooks as well. Geant, a French retailer, has listed the new HP Mini 110 and Mini 210 netbooks with Cedar Trail processors.

The new HP Mini 110 has the following specs:

• 10.1 inch display
• 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N2600 dual core processor
• 1 GB of RAM
• 320GB hard drive
• 802.11n WiFi

The HP Mini 210 has the same specs but with a 1.83 GHz Intel Atom N2800 processor.

So far, pricing for the netbooks are 279 Euros for the Mini 110 and 309 Euros for the Mini 210. No pricing info or if and when they will get to US shores as of now.

HP has added the HP Mini 1104 to their business-friendly netbook line. And it comes with the new 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N2600 dual core processor.

What distinguishes HP’s business netbooks from their regular consumer netbook lines is that the business netbooks come with premium secutiry features such as a Trusted Platform Module 1.2 embedded security chip.

Aside from the HP Pavilion dm4-2050us Notebook PC (Silver) ($635.43), the HP Pavilion dv6-3140us 15.6-Inch Laptop is also on sale from Amazon. They’ve slashed $105.00 from its original list price of $824.99 so you can get the notebook for $719.99.

HP has confirmed that the HP Folio Ultrabook is heading over to the US, and will be toting the following specs:

Aside from those, you also get added features like Intel’s “Rapid Start Technology” which allows the ultrabook to quickly resume from sleep. It also has the CoolSense technology which helps keep the laptop comfy cool rather than burn-you-skin-off hot when placed on your lap. You also get a backlit keyboard, an HD webcam and Dolby Advanced Audio, for the starting price of just $899. The HP Folio is expected to hit stores on December 7th.

After HP announces the decline of the webOS, they have placed orders for the 64GB HP TouchPad. Uhm, why? The TouchPad has been selling like you wouldn’t believe as retailers started scrambling to unload the tablet, with prices going for as low as $99. For a decent device with no further support in the future as the only drawback, it sounds like a pretty good deal as you’d still be able to use it to browse the web, as an e-book reader, maybe a digital photo frame.

Amazon has already dropped the TouchPad although it’s up there at the top of today’s bestselling list. HP has slashed the tablets’ prices by $100, but the 64GB tablet will still have a $600 price tag.

• webOS 3.0 operating system
• front-facing 1.3MP camera

Maybe there’s life after webOS? Because for $600, you can already get an Apple iPad 2, or heck, hold out for a while and nab an iPad 3.

HP has a new design for their old HP Mini 210 netbook which include a new look, sound system, battery and touchpad.

The newer models have a more solid look with the colors spreading to the keyboard area rather than stopping at the palmrests. The looks of the battery has also been redesigned, with it sitting flush with the base of the netbook. While there are now separate left and right mouse buttons below the touchpad, you actually need to get used to the touchpad which blends with the palmrest. No tiny buttons, no different feeling to the fingertips, just smooth, smooth surface. Another change is that the new HP Mini 210 gets Bets Audio.

What didn’t change are the rest of the specs:

• 10.1 inch display
• Intel Atom processor
• 1GB of RAM
• Windows 7 Starter Edition
• 6 cell, 55Whr battery (9 hours)

You can get a base model with Atom N455 chip and 1024 x 600 pixel display, as well as an upgraded model with a dual core 1.5 GHz Intel Atom N550 processor with a 1366 x 768 pixel screen. Another thing that didn’t change is the base price of $299.99. It comes in 6 vibrant colors with a drop date of June 15.

HP is already taking orders for their 11.6″ laptop with the new AMD Zacate chip. The HP Pavilion dm1z has the following technical specifications:

The base price is $449.99 but could run up to as much as $1000 if you upgrade your unit. You can get one with up to 8GB of Ram with a whopping 750GB hard drive (or 128GB SSD), Windows 7 Professional with a spare battery.

HP may not show any new netbooks at CES but they’re updating the looks of the Mini 210 with two new, feminine, adorable color options called iceberry and rasberry. The new lids have a layered, checkered pattern which made me think twice about wanting a boring solid black netbook. Hey, aside from being pragmatic, I’m also a girl.

The darker hued rasberry color will exclusively be available from Best Buy in the US starting January 23rd for $329.99. The lighter iceberry, which had me at “ice”, will be availble from HP.com starting January 9th with a starting price of $349.99.

The HP Mini 1103 may not have some of the line’s nifty premium specs but it actually is the business version of the HP Mini 110/210 series of consumer netbooks. What sets it apart from the usual consumer netbook is that you have the option of configuring it with Windows 7 Starter, SUSE Linux 11 or FreeDos, or choose between 1GB or 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It is also available in 160GB up to 320GB HDD capacity.
