Red Netbook Guide – Red Netbooks that Sizzle

Red is a hot, hot, hot color, and looks absolutely gorgeous in anything, even in netbooks. Red is a very passionate and intense color and symbolizes love, desire and even courage. It’s a very attention-grabbing color, which means that your little red netbook will most likely standout, and make you stand out, when you’re using it.

So far, there are only two red netbooks that really grab my attention, apart from the Vivenne Tam netbook.

The first one is the flirty Asus Eee PC901 8.9″ Netbook in Sakura Red. It runs with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor with 1GB RAM, a 12GB solid state drive, and 20GB Eee storage. It’s pre-loaded with Windows XP, consumes less power and boots up superfast. The 6-cell battery pack allows you up to 7.5 hours of use while you take advantage of the WiFi connection. Visually, I just love it -  the adorable embellishment upfront gives it a fun and playful air. It retails for $445.00 from Amazon. Do note that it has a 8.9″ screen, and that the 12 GB SSD drive is pretty small sized i.e. not much storage.

The next one is the super-sexy Acer Aspire One AOD150-1920 10.1″ Netbook in Ruby Red. It has a 4.5 star rating from 142 users so we know it rocks.

Much like lipstick or high heels, this netbook in its sexy shade of red looks really great as an accessory.

It comes with Windows XP Home SP3, an Intel Atom N270 Processor, a 6-cell battery pack that allows you 6.5 hours of uninterrupted productivity, and 160GB HDD with 1GB RAM. It looks no nonsense and elegant. It retails for $349.00 at Amazon.

I’m just wondering why Samsung doesn’t have any netbooks in red. Having a netbook is not just being productive while on the go, but also being stylish. If netbooks are on the road to being a fashion trend (think the HP Mini Vivienne Tam Edition), it might be a good idea for netbook manufacturers to come up with netbooks in more sexy shades of red.
