Pink Netbook Guide – Pretty in Pink Netbooks
Who says netbooks should only be in basic black or blue?
There is a girly girl within every woman, and a pink netbook definitely adds a feminine touch. While black and blue might dominate the netbook world, there are some in pink netbooks that girls and women can choose from.
One of the top 2 options is the pink Samsung NC10 11GP 10.2″ Netbookis sleek, glossy and pretty. It comes with the standard netbook specs such as 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, and 6-cell battery. It also comes with Windows XP. It has gotten very good reviews from Amazon (252 ratings averaging out at 4.5 stars). It’s a bit more expensive than the pink Acer netbooks, retailing for $406.96.
The pink Acer Aspire One AOA150-1672 8.9″ is a very good choice at its current price. Do note that 8.9″ and 9″ netbooks are losing favor and 10″ netbooks are being preferred – which explains the huge price drop.
It runs with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor with 1GB RAM, and 160GB HDD. It’s packed with the ole reliable Windows XP and has a 6-cell battery that can give you about six hours of unplugged use. It currently retails for $339.80 – down from the original price of $596.27. Its also very well reviewed with a 4.5 stars rating.
Another version is the Acer Aspire One AOA150-1690 in pink. Pretty much similar to the 1672 above, but comes with a 3-cell battery. Lessens the number of hours you can use it unplugged but pretty much identical to the 1672. It’s cheaper too, selling for $299.99. Note: This is not recommended as the 3-cell battery is too small.
Get the 6 cell version discussed above instead.
The pink MSI Wind U100-280US 10″ Netbookis also rather stylish but more expensive than the Acer Aspire One. It packs the same power as the Acer Aspire One AOA150-1672 although the MSI Wind has a bigger screen. It retails for $421.94 at Amazon.
Personally, what takes the cake as the most adorable pink netbook has got to be the MSI Wind U100-001US 10-Inch Netbook with the heart. It has the same specs as the rest of the lineup and costs $378.00 from Amazon. A close second is the Samsung NC10.
Pink netbooks mostly pack the same heat. They pretty much run on the same type of processors, and have the same OS and specs. Only the brands, the chassis and the batteries, and the prices are different. Personally, I think pink netbooks are cuter fashion accessories than any other netbooks (expect perhaps red). The choice comes down to how good it would look on you ;)
