Official Dell Streak Android Tablet Pricing Announced
We’re not the only ones waiting for the Dell Streak 5 Android Tablet, and we’ve even signed up for the
pre-pre-order form. Still no word as to when it will be released but what we do know is how much it will cost. Dell has recently released the official pricing for the tablet and it will cost us.
With a 2-year AT&T contract, you can get it for $299. Without the contract, it’s $549. I know you’re thinking, for that kind of money, you can just get an iPad. But keep in mind that the iPad does not have a 3G modem, nor can you make calls with it.
Technical details are as follows:
- 5 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display
- 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G
- 5MP web camera
- MicroSD card slot
- Google Android 1.6
Dell assures us that an update will be available later this year so that the Streak would run Android 2.2 Froyo and have support for Adobe Flash.
