New Vivienne Tam HP Netbook Unveiled

HP Vivienne Tam Butterfly Netbook

I wasn’t very excited about the old HP Vivienne Tam edition. It was too bright pink for my taste, which was why I wouldn’t get myself one even if the price was a little lot lower than it’s $700 price tag. Oops, sorry, $800.

The announcement that Vivienne Tam would once again be revealing a new design for another HP netbook came last week, and today, Business Wire was able to take a snap of the new design.

I’m going to be honest. I’m crazy about butterflies. And my jaw dropped and my eyes shone with longing at the sight of the new design. With its muted colors, it’s a lot more subtle than the peony blooms in purple and red in the original. This one is said to be inspired by “Butterfly Lover” which is a Chinese version of “Romeo and Juliet”. But then again, knowing that it’s a Vivienne Tam netbook, I’d expect I wouldn’t be able to afford it. But, oh well. We can always wait for a sale :)

The HP Vivienne Tam digital clutch will be available in Spring 2010.
