Netbooks by Color Series: Blue Netbooks by Asus
We’ve already posted on blue Samsung and Acer netbooks. So let’s go and list down the Asus Eee PCs. There are a lot of blue netbooks on the Asus Eee PC line and most of them are very good. The current #1 on the Amazon.com Bestseller’s List is the Asus Eee PC 1005HA-P’s Black version. I’m not going to include ALL the blue Eee PCs but I’ll list down the current (i.e. better) netbooks out on Amazon today.
Let’s start with the bestsellers. The 1005HA alone has two blue variants, the 1005HA-P and the 1005HA-V.
Asus Eee PC 1005HA-P
The 1005HA-P is currently #3 on the netbook category of the Amazon’s Bestseller’s List. It’s been available since June and is showing no signs of slowing down. And why should it? It has a 10-hour battery life. Other specs include Intel Atom N280 Processor 1.66GHz, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB SATA Hard Drive, 10GB Free Eee Storage, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Windows XP. Asus Eee PC 1005HA-V
The 1005HA-V is the one with the Intel Atom N270 Processor 1.6GHz and 8.5 hour battery. It’s currently number 8 at the Bestseller’s list. It’s still not a bad bet if you don’t mind the reduced battery life since it’s the same 1005HA. It’s selling for $319.00 at Amazon.
Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell
The original Seashell netbook, the 1008HA is a more, shall we say, advanced version of the 1005HA. It’s definitely a good netbook with an Intel Atom N280 Processor 1.66GHz, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB SATA HD, and a 10.1″ WSVGA 1024×600 Screen. The only complaint I have, maybe not a complaint but a worry, is that it has a built-in battery that you can’t replace if it gets discharged. The pearl blue is selling for $401.85 from Amazon. Asus Eee PC 1000HE
Another good option for the blue netbook is the 1000HE with an 9.5 hour battery life, Intel Atom N280, 1GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 10 GB Eee Storage, 10.1″ screen, chiclet keyboard and Windows XP. It has gotten high marks from customers and is very reasonably priced at $384.95. It’s currently #20 on Amazon but it has been out since February. If that’s the case, then number 20 ain’t bad.
Disney Netpal by Asus.
Probably the cutest blue netbook so far is the Disney Netpal in Magic Blue. It’s an 8.9″ Asus netbook wearing a Disney-cloaked Windows XP. It has a lot of cool features that are perfect for kids who are first time netbook users. If you;re a kid-at-heart or just a huge Disney fan even if you’re not within the 8-12 age bracket, the specs are very reasonable, with a 1GB DDR, 16GB SSD, WiFi-capable, and it runs on an Intel Atom N270 processor. It’s still for pre-order from Amazon for $349.99.
So far, those are the best blue Asus netbooks on Amazon. Any other blue Asus netbooks I missed that you’d like to have seen on the list?
