Netbooks Around the World: Asus EEE PC R101 in Germany

Asus EEE PC R101

The Asus EEE PC R101 is actually the German version of the budget netbook, the Asus Eee PC 1001PX which is one of the least expensive netbooks from Asus. But for it’s relatively cheap price, you still get the following specs:

  • 10.1″ 1024 x 600 pixel display
  • 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 250Gb HDD
  • 4400mAh battery (9.5 hours)
  • Windows 7 Starter Edition

Not bad, considering a lot of more expensive netbooks also have the same specs. And since it’s from Asus, I’m pretty sure that it’s a good netbook despite the price. The netbook is available for $279 in the US, but is priced at €299 ($380 US) from Notebooksbilliger.de where it’s up for pre-order.
