Netbooks Around the World: Acer Aspire 1420P, Asus Eee PC T101MT, Compaq Airlife 100

Acer Aspire 1420P in France
The 11.6″ Acer Aspire 1420P is an impressive, twist n’ tablet netbook from Acer with a dual core Intel Celeron SU2300 CULV processor and integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics. While not yet available in the US, it has been spotted from a French online retailer, Rue du Commerce, for €499.

Technical specs include 3GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI and VGA outputs, an SD card reader. OS included is Windows 7 Home Premium, and runs on a 6 cell, 62Whr battery (6 to 8 hours on a single charge).

Asus Eee PC T101MT in Germany
Amazon’s German site is taking pre-orders for the Asus Eee PC T101MT for €499.

I’m not German, and I don’t understand Germam, but if I’m not mistaken, they’re saying that the T101MT is a 12.1″ netbook. Knowing, and having been a victim of, Amazon’s sometimes careless description-writing, I know that the T101MT has a 10.1″ screen, or am I mistaken?

Specs include Intel Atom N450 Pine Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, and 320GB hard drive. OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.

Also, the netbook is said to be available in France by April.

Compaq Airlife 100 from Spain
Engadget reported that the HP Compaq Airlife 100 is like a netbook with the guts of smartbook.

Specs include a 10.1″ touchscreen display, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (unconfirmed), Google Android, 16GB SSD, 3G, WiFi, and a 12-hour battery with 10 days of standby. Iiiiinteresting. This was announced ain partnership with telecom company, Telefonica and will be offered as a subsidized device with a mobile broadband plan in Europe and Latin America.
