Toshiba is also launching an educational netbook. Their version is a convertible tablet, the Toshiba CM1 which is based Intel Classmate PC.
Here are the technical specifications:
- 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor
- 10.1″ 1366 x 768 pixel touchscreen display
- 2GB RAM
- 160GB HDD
- Windows 7 Professional 32-bit
Being something aimed for kids, we can expect a sturdy, tough netbook. It has a rubberized case to withstand abuse from students who are, admittedly, less careful with their things. It has a built-in handle and weighs a hefty 3.97 lbs.
