Acer Review, Asus Review – Netbook 10

Yugatech, a Philippine tech blog, has reviewed the 12.1″ Asus Eee PC 1201T with AMD Neo and it falls short, waaay short, of expected battery life.

The 1201T is the local version of the 1201 and has the same chassis as other 1201x notebooks, but has a 1.6GHz single-core AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor and ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics.

They didn’t give a lot of details, performance-wise, except that it got a 3.1 Windows experience score with a 64-bit version of the Windows 7 Home Premium. There’s no mention of how difference this netbook’s performance is from one with an Intel processor and NVIDIA ION graphics, except that they also mentioned that it only ran for a disappointing 2.5 hours on a 4,400mAh 6-cell battery.

The Asus Eee PC 1201T is priced at 21,900Php (Philippine Peso) which is about $470 US.
