Lightest 10″ Netbooks (with Windows 7)
We keep forgetting that there still is a core group of netbook users who genuinely care about how much their netbook weighs. If it’s too heavy, you might as well carry around your more powerful laptop, no?
Well… maybe no. The 13″ MacBook is a pretty compact laptop and weighs a comparatively hefty 4.7lbs. You’re probably better of with a netbook, you’ll save about 2lbs (A LOT)!
Keeping in mind you need more than 2 hours off battery life if you want to travel…
Here’s a breakdown of decent 6 cell-bearing Windows 7 running netbooks by weight:
Asus 1008HA – 2.4lbs (in-built battery – 5-6 hour life) (read our 1008HA review)
Lenovo S10-2 – 2.65lbs (read our S10-2 review)
Nokia 3G Booklet – 2.76lbs (read our Nokia Booklet review)
*
Asus 1005HA – 2.8lbs (read our 1005HA review)
Samsung N140 – 2.8lbs (read our N140 review)
Acer AOD250 – 2.8lbs (read our AOD250 review)
HP Mini 110 – 2.8lbs (read our Mini 110 review)
Samsung GO N310 – 2.8lbs (read our Samsung GO review)
*
Dell Mini 10 – 2.9lbs (read our Mini 10 review)
Toshiba Mini NB205 – 2.93lbs (read our NB205 review)
Gateway LT series – 3lbs (read our LT series review)
It’s an interesting list. Shines some spotlight on Asus 1008HA (which means I’ll probably review the netbook soon). On another note the Samsung N140 is a great netbook – the same range as the Asus 1005HA and the Acer AOD250 (they’re all 2.8lbs) – but def. worth checking out – read our N140 review
Hope the list helps with your Christmas shopping!
