LG Netbooks – LG X110 Netbook + LG X120
Posted on February 17th, 2009 by admin
LG jumped into the Netbooks market in the second half of 2008 with the X110, and has now announced the LG X120 to supplement its range.
LG X110 Netbook
- A big selling point is X110′s High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA) cellular data modem that is compatible with newer 3G networks.
- It also supports 802.11 b/g.
- LG’s X110 is available in 80 GB or 120 GB hard drives, comes with XP Home. There are also some contrasting reports that it comes with Vista Home Basic.
- LG X110 is available in white, pink, and silver.
- It was originally called the LG X110 Momo – for more mobility.
LG X120 Netbook
- The X120 like its predecessor comes with 3G HSPA connectivity.
- It also has a 160GB hard drive.
- The LG X120 comes with the Smart-On interface which loads the Smart-On screen in just five seconds and lets you use the MP3 player, Photo Viewer and Internet Suite.
- It has Smart-Link technology and, with a simple USB cable, connects to regular computers to share files or install new applications.
- It comes in white with lime or pink detailing options.
- It weights just 1.2kg.
- Battery life is 3.5 hours for the 3 cell battery and 7 hours for the 6 cell battery.
- LG-X120 will be available in March 2009 in Europe. There are no details on North American availability.

Overall LG is yet another entrant into the netbook market, with a range that doesn’t really distinguish itself. I do like the colours available and the HSPA. However, it doesn’t really make the overall grade.

Katie – what’s your budget? If you can afford $380 I recommend the Asus 1005HA which comes with Windows 7 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002P3KMXK/?tag=inetbook-20
