LG Makes the LG X140 Netbook Official

We first wrote about the LG X140 a few moths ago, but only recently did LG put up a press release announcing the launch of their netbook.

The X140 will make its appearance in the following countries: Brazil, Chile, Dubai, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and Hong Kong among others, but a listing for the US and UK are noticeably absent.

Technical specs are as follows:

  • 10.1″ display
  • 1.83/1.66GHz Intel Atom processor
  • 1GB/2GB memory
  • 250GB/320GB HDD
  • 1.3MP webcam
  • WiFi and integrated 3G modem
  • Windows 7 Starter

It also comes with Smart On 2.0, a quick boot environment that allows you to access email, the web and other apps in 5 secs, and the LG Smart POP which allows file transfers, dial and message functions, contacts and Outlook functions which allows easy managing of files and folders between the netbook and LG phones right on the netbook’s screen.
