Intel’s New 40GB SSD, $125

One important aspect of owning a netbook or a laptop… or any gadget for that matter is memory. What does it matter if you can do anything and everything on a tiny gadget if you can’t save it?
Intel has recently launched their new 40GB SSD for $125. While not exactly cheap since you can get a 1TB HDD for less, SSDs are thought of to be sturdier and faster than harddrives. Sturdier because of the lack of moving parts.
The 40 GB Intel® X25-V High-Performance Value SSD comes in a 2.5 inch disk and can read uo to 170MB/s with a 35MB/s write speed. It’s tiny size is perfect for netbooks and laptops, but you can also definitely use it with a desktop, where you can use it as a boot drive. It would give you faster OS and application boot time, while the hard drive can be used for you files.
