HP Slate has Atom Processor, coming in June

HP Slate

HP has its very own slate PC coming out and it’s expected to become the leading competetor to Apple’s iPad. Will it be better? Will it have more features?

Well, it’s going to have an Intel Atom processor and run on Windows 7. It has Adobe Flash support which the iPad does not. It will also run Windows software as well as tablet-specific apps. You can also, via USB, plug a keyboard, a mouse, a printer, heck, even an external display and use it as a desktop.

What we have on the slate PC right now is limited. Clipset, a Spanish site, is saying that it wil cost about €400 ($545 US), but of course, that will change when it hits the US since we can’t just do straight currency conversion. The site also says that it will launch in June, and will be available in Europe on September, and hopefully, earlier than that in the US. The iPad, if you still don’t know, will ship on April 3rd.
