HP has an interesting line of Netbooks -
HP Mini 1010NR 8.9″ Netbook Details
- I really don’t recommend buying a 8.9″ screen netbook.
- It retails for $296 at Amazon.
- 8.9-inch (Diagonal) WSVGA BrightView Widescreen Display, 1024 x 600 Resolution.
- Here are the specs -

• Genuine Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3
• 512MB DDR2 SDRAM

HP Mini 1120NR 10″ Netbook Details
- This is an interesting netbook. The Mi series is based around Mobile Internet – a user-friendly, all-inclusive interface built on Linux.
- Available for $329.99 at Amazon.
- 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB Hard Drive, Mobile Internet Experience Software, 3 Cell Battery.
- Only 1″ thin and less than 2.5 pounds.
- 10.2″ HP BrightView display.
- 1 GB RAM, 16 GB SSD.
- The interface looks good. However, be warned that the command line interface is disabled, and this is not the Windows XP you might be familiar with.
HP Mini 1035NR 10″ Netbook Details
- Thankfully, this 10″ HP Mini has Windows XP Home.
- 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 60 GB Hard Drive.
- 10.2″ (diagonal) WSVGA LCD Infinity BrightView LED display.
- 92% size keyboard.
- The 3 cell battery is rather inadequate. Only lasts 2-2.5 hrs.
- The HP Mini 1350 is rather unremarkable in every way.
- It retails for $399 at Amazon.
HP’s netbooks are rather unremarkable. They do have a good fashion accessory netbook in the HP Vivienne Tam 10″ netbook. However, the rest of their netbooks are very cookie cutter and have no features that would make them a must-buy.
