HP Mini 5102 Now Available, Base Price: $749

HP Mini 5102 HP Small Business

HP added the business-oriented HP Mini 5102 netbook to their small business website, but it doesn’t exactly come in netbook price. According to Liliputing, their cheapest offering for a pre-configured model starts at a whopping $749.

Technical Specs for the pre-configured model are as follows:

  • 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display
  • 1.66GHz Atom N450 CPU
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 160GB 7200RPM HDD
  • 2MB webcam
  • 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1
  • Windows XP Professional
  • 4 cell battery

An HP Mini 5102 with a 6-call battery and a bigger capacity harddrive starts at $829. For that price, you can get yourself a couple of ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005PE-Ps with pretty much the same specs aside from the Bluetooth.

An older version, the HP Mini 5101 with Bluetooth is currently available from Amazon as well, for $399.96.

Hopefully, you can play around and customize an HP Mini 5102 netbook from their small business site soon, but as their pre-configured models already cost an arm and a leg, expect to cough up a lot more for other features, like touchscreen maybe?
