HP Mini 110 Tord Boontje Edition
Looks like HP’s Vivienne Tam Edition was enough of a success for the company to come up with not one but two follow-up netbooks to the über-feminine (and equally expensive) designer netbook.
Recently, HP has unveiled the new design for its “digital clutch”, a more subtle butterfly design inspired by the Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet. It’s latest addition to the line is the Tord Boontje edition, with a 3D ink design on the lid of the HP Mini 110.
Good news for the fashionable and female, this netbook starts at $399 instead of the $699.99 that the first generation Vivienne Tam started out. There’s no word on how much the 2nd gen would cost, and I’m still looking into that.
The netbook will also come with 15 custom wallpapers also designed by Boontje, with Windows 7 Starter Edition. Word is that HP has teamed up with StarDock so that users can select their own background instead of the one that comes with the operating system.
