Another day, another Netbook – Hannspree’s HannsNote
Hannspree, another tech company out of Taiwan is launching netbooks in America. Known for making very out-there televisions and stuffed animals with monitors (via Endgadget), Hannspree’s HannsNote netbooks are pretty standard. In a saturated market it would almost be beneficial for them to stand out with some wacky features.
The HannsNote is your average 10″ netbook available in black and white. The only thing these netbooks have going for them are the sleek – and I mean gorgeously sleek – design. And they’re pretty well priced for 10″ netbooks. You can buy the black HannsNote netbook at Amazon for $320 (an additional $10 for shipping).
HannsNote Features & Drawbacks
The 10″ HannsNote comes with pretty standard netbook features.
- Looks great. The flash on the website also shows the netbook with several shine spots. It’s amusing :) On a more serious note though, the glossy finish and the slim metal line look amazing and give the netbook a more substantial feel.
- Accessories Included. Comes with a matching sleeve and a cleansing cloth which means you don’t need to spend extra money on the accessories. Nice.
- Meh on Battrey life. 5 hours on a six cell battery? That is by no means competitive. You can get 8.5 hours on an Asus 1005HA for the same price.
- Not particularly portable. At 1.8″ thick and weighing 2.9lbs – you can do much better.
