Acer Review, Asus Review – Netbook 10

The Samsung N310 is one of the netbooks we can look forward to, and while it has yet to make an appearance in the US market, it’s already available for pre-order for UK residents at Amazon UK.

While it has the same technical specs as most netbooks have today:

1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU

1GB of RAM

160GB hard drive

10.1″, 1024 x 600 pixel display

1.3 megapixel camera

3-in-1 MMC reader

3 x USB 2.0, optional Bluetooth

5-hour battery life with a 4 cell battery.

It’s a pretty unique netbook.

1. The first thing that you’ll notice is it’s rather different looks. It looks pretty tough and bulky, almost armored, although it’s almost the same size as the NC10. It’s built with a rubberized outer casing designed by the award-winning designer Naoto Fukasawa.



2. Aside from that the 93% pebble keyboard fills the chassis end to end, as does the 10.1″ inch, glass-covered, anti-reflective screen.
3. But what really sets it apart from the rest is that it kills germs. Nope, you’re not reading it wrong. It really kills germs. It uses one of the latest medical technologies to ensure that your netbook is user-safe and germ-free. This is what it says on the Amazon UK details:

“Bacteria free – by sprinkling incredibly small, nano-sized silver ion powder on the keyboard, your system will remain ‘bacteria free’ – for even longer”

I won’t recommend using it to wash your hands, but it’s a real nifty add-on, especially with the outbreak of viruses.
