Fujitsu 10.1″ LOOX M Netbook Launched

I totally agree with most netbook reviewers that the new Fujitsu 10.1″ LOOX M netbook is a definite looker, but when you look at the specs, there’s absolutely nothing new to rave about. It gives users a choice of black, red and white. It also measures 10.2″ x 7.4″ x 1.3″ and weighs 2.6 pounds which is just about the average netbook. Even the specs shout “me, too!”

Here are the average technical specs:

  • 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU
  • 1GB of DDR2 RAM
  • 160GB hard drive
  • 10.1″ 1024 x 576 pixel display
  • 802.11b/g WiFi
  • Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
  • 3 x USB 2.0, multicard reader
  • It sounds like any other netbook out in the market today, but I really think that the attractive design would give it the edge, if only it wouldn’t be as expensive in the US as it is in Japan where it’s 59,800 Yen or a whopping $610.
