A 3G model is also in the works and will be released early 2011. The Folio 100 will come with Google Android 2.2 but as per Engadget, it doesn’t have an official Android Market. They also seem to be disappointed with how it turned out. They said that it looked like it was cheaply made with sub-standard parts.

Apparently, Toshiba’s US team is saying that the Folio 100 might never see the light of day in the US anyway.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab can’t get more officially official than this. Samsung finally unvelied the 7″ Android tablet at a Berlin press conference, and while there is no word on pricing, they have slated it for a September shipping date in Europe, with Korea, the US, and the rest of Asia to follow suit.

The Galaxy Tab will actually be an oversized smartphone. You’d be able to use it for calls and send text messages, which means that it definitely can sit there next to the iPhone 4. It, of course, has access to the Android Market, as well as Samsung’s very own Samsung Readers Hub for eBooks, magazines and newspapers.

Here are some more specs:

7″ 1024 x 600 pixel capacitive touchscreen

Google Android 2.2

1GHz Samsung Cortex A8 Hummingbird

512MB

16GB | 32GB of flash storage, plus a microSD card slot

802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetoth 3.0, 3G (HSUPA,GSM/EDGE), A-GPS

1.3MP front-facing camera, 3MP camera on back

Accelerometer, Geo-magnetic sensor, Gyroscope, light sensor

4,000mAh

Dimensions: 7.5″ 4.7″ 0.5″
Weight: 0.84 pounds
Optional Accessories: Keyboard, stylus, TV-out cable, car dock, covers

Expansys is taking pre-orders for £679.99 (more than a thousand bucks).

The HP Mini 5103 is the latest business netbook to be released by HP. It also has a hard drive sensor that locks the hard drive whenever it senses that the netbook is in freefall and an aluminum and magnesium alloy case that makes it tough. But what really sets is apart from its predecessors (the Mini 5101 and the Mini 5102) is that this comes with the newest 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual core processor. (You can also opt for the older N475 and N455 single core options, if you want to.)

It also comes with a HD touchscreen display, GPS, 3G modem, and a wide range of options for operating system, from FreeDos to Linuzx to Windows 7 Professional.

I like business netbooks because they’re sturdier, and looks classier than their cheaper and lower end counterparts. Plus they do have some nifty talents like spill-proof keyboards and the like.

Take a look at Liliputing’s unboxing video here.

The Samsung NF310 is the only one sure to have the new Intel Atom N550 processor. It also comes with DDR3 memory, and a high res 1366 x 768 pixel display.

There’s virtually no specs listed for the NF210 and 110 but the latter is said to be “affordable” and would most likely be Samsung’s budget netbook for this line. The NF210 is said to come with an 8850mAh 6-cell battery which packs power that can let the netbook run for as long as 14 hours.

Samsung will also bundle the Easy File Share software with these netbooks which allows file transfer between PCs using WiFi, and the Samsung AllShare system which lets you play multimedia files and display photos on Samsung devices including phones and digital cameras.

Due date for the new series is October in Europe, and the rest of the world soon after.

HP’s latest netbook models, the HP Mini 210 and the Mini 5103 have been officially announced and officially having Intel Atom N550 dual-core processors. See! Not just tablets are coming out, people.

The Mini 210 looks brand-spankin’ slick with a new design, a chiclet keyboard and HP’s reliable trackpad. The battery is removable, and you can also get into your hard drive and RAM for a quick upgrade if you’re inclined to. It also comes with a Broadcom Crystal HD card.

The business netbook, Mini 5103 looks the same as the older Mini5102 except it has the new processor and a new color option (espresso), and an instant OS, the “Day Starter”. Sounds like something from Star Wars.

Price is at $330 for a single-core Mini 210 with a 6-cell battery. Add $75 for a dual-core processor. The Mini 5103 is $399 without the new processor, but we should be updated soon enough. Check out HP.com for more info.

Are you getting tired of everything about the Samsung Galaxy Tab being leaked? Or is just whetting you appetite for more, more, more?

New photos of the tablet have been posted on a an Israeli forum. An app developer has gotten his hands on one one, and we’ve pretty much seen the image before, that the tablet is a lot bigger than a smartphone, and that it looks really, really good. The developer also said that this Android tablet looks like it could be a serious competition to the iPad. It has Flash playback, and strong audio, and okay GPS that works fine after it locks. We shall, of course, see very soon.

Accessories have also been spotted out and about, which includes a QWERTY keyboard and a table charging station with HDMI connectivity. A carry case which doubles as a stand will supposedly cost €41 ($52), Table Charging Station, €54 ($69) and the keyboard dock will be €82 ($105). A little pricey but those might not be the final prices, and will most likely change once these products hit the States.
