Dell Inspiron 11Z Price Hike? Now $499
We’ve been reporting on price-cuts and discounts, and that’s what we’ve been looking for to help you find your next netbook, which is why I did a double take when I saw another reprice. Instead of going down, the price of the Dell Inspiron 11z went up from $399 to $449. Liliputing reported that it actually went to $524 for a few hours before settling.
Reasons behind the price influx:
1. New models have an improved WLED display, according to a Dell salesperson; and/or
2. the original price was a limited time promotion, as some users have been told.
Take your pick.
Now, for $449, you can also grab an Acer Aspire 1410 from Amazon. The sapphire Aspire 1410 is already shipping. Both have 11.6″ screens with CULV processors. The Aspire 1410 has a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo CULV SU3500 and a 6 cell 48Whr battery; while the Inspiron 11Z has a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron 723 CPU and a 3 cell, 28WHr battery.
Again, take your pick.
The Dell Inspiron 11Z is available from the Dell site, while you can purchase the Acer Aspire 1410 from Amazon.
