Dell Inspiron 11z Now Customizable
Dell has added more options to customize your planned 11.6″ Dell Inspiron 11z. The netbook’s basic configuration consists of a single-core Celeron 723 (1.2GHz), 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD and a 3-cell (28Whr) battery for $399.
I’ve customized one for myself with the following specs:
* Intel® Celeron™ SU4100 (1.3GHz/800MHz FSB/2MB cache)
* Purple Passion (Color options: Obsidian Black… add $40 you can choose to customize to Promise Pink, Jade Green, Ice Blue, Cherry Red, Passion Purple and Alpine White. If you choose the pink one, Dell will donate $5.00 to Susan G. Komen for Breast Cancer research.)
* Windows Vista Home Premium (which is eligible for FREE upgrade to Windows 7)
* Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 which INCLUDES Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Memory: 4GB, DDR2, 800MHZ, 1 DIMM
* HD: 320GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
* 6-cell (56WHr) Lithium-Ion Battery
* DW1520 Super Wireless-N card
* Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth Internal
* Integrated 1.3M Pixel Webcam with Facial Recognition
These specs are basically “Dell Recommended” and will set you back $943.
