Asus UL20FT Thin and Light Shipping in August

The Asus UL20FT was first spotted in May, but looks like it would start shipping as soon as next month, August 6 to be exact, if you go check out this page on ExcaliberPC. It’s on pre-order stage for $579.00.
The notebook follows the footsteps of the Asus UL20A ($599.00 $539.99). The two notebooks have the pretty much the same specs except that the older UL20A has a 1.3GHz Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor, and the UL20FT has a new Intel Core i3-330UM 1.2GHz CPU with Turbo33 technology.
Technical specs are as follows:
- Intel Core i3-330UM (1.20GHz, Turbo Boost) Processor
- 12.1″ HD (1366×768) LED Display
- 2GB DDR2 Memory
- 250GB Hard Drive
- Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
- 6 cell, 4400mAh battery
It’s already available in Japan but the Japanese version comes with a Celeron U3400 processor.
