Acer Review, Asus Review – Netbook 10

Asus’ leaked roadmap has spread like wildfire, and while I’d love to believe that it’s genuine, let’s hold our collective breaths until it’s been confirmed (or maybe not). Perusing the image, looks like we can expect three new netbooks in October, which includes the new Asus Eee PC 1201N, and updated Asus Eee PC 1005HA’s (the HA-P and the HA-M).

Asus Eee PC 1201N
What is said to come with a 12″ LCD, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and Nvidia ION graphics (wow!). Specs include a 250GB HD, 2GB RAM, a 6 cell batt, Bluetooth and WiFi. OS will be WIndows 7 Home Premium and will be $499.00

Asus Eee PC 1005HA-P (Updated)
Pretty much the same well-loved 1005HA-P, only with a larger 250GB HD, 10.5-hour 6 cell battery, Windows 7 Starter Edition, Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n WiFi for $399.

Asus Eee PC 1005HA-M (Updated)
Another update which will come with Atom N270 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, an 8.5-hour 6 cell battery, 250GB hard drive, and Windows 7 Starter edition for $349.

Also listed are the new Asus 1008HA-P with an Intel Atom N280 CPU, 320GB hard drive and 2GB RAM, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth for $480; the Asus 1008HA-M with an N280 CPU, 250GB hard drive and 1GB RAM, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth for $430.

Interestingly, there’s a T91MT (multi-touch, baby!) listed there with 32GB RAM at $549.

Looking closely, all the netbooks will have Windows 7, but none will have the next gen Pine Trail Atom. Sure, Intel still isn’t set on the when of the chip’s release, but MSI is saying that it’s going to be launched in September.

So much for Asus not releasing new netbooks until next year.
